BODY BEAST REVIEW

Wondering what this new program from BeachBody is?

Body Beast is a program created by Russian body builder, Sagi Kalev. Sagi designed this program after immigrating to the US and obtaining degrees in both nutrition and physical education.
The program mainly focuses on getting big and building muscle strength in the most natural way possible. This program is the only bodybuilding, nutrition and supplement system on the market. Of course you can find those items now but this will be lumped together making it easier to get the results you want.

So if your interested in building muscle this is the workout for you!! I'm am looking to tone up and build muscle...no I do not want to become a body builder, but I love me some muscles! I decided to blog my experience with this 90 day program because I LOVE cardio....but cardio can only get you so far, I also want to prove that ladies do not have to be afraid of weights, you AREN'T going to become MANLY by lifting some weights...(Unless you want too)! I am 22 years old and ready for a lean toned body!! HERE WE GO!

MY EXPERIENCE WITH BODY BEAST

I had surgery in April, So getting back to my normal routine has been an up hill battle trying to get my strength back and lose the unwanted weight that I gained during recovery and vacation, but finally after a month of Chalean Extreme I was able to start using heavier weights. I really want to start building more muscle and leaning out. That is when I decided Body Beast was going to be my next challenge. There are 2 different workout schedules that are provided to you. One is the "HUGE" this is if your really wanting to gain mass, and the second is "LEAN". I choose the Lean schedule because of my goals that I wanted to reach.

Phase 1 BUILD (LEAN): Week 1:

Day 1-Chest/Tris: This workout was very challenging for be because it was based on the muscles that were effected by my surgery. So on all chest exercises I used only 3-10 lbs.I added cardio to this day because I felt like I needed a little bit more of a workout because of my limited weight use.

Day 2-Legs: This workout was probably the best leg workout I have ever done! Every exercise focused on different parts of the legs, and by that evening after I first completed it, I was still feeling the slight burn and “wiggles” as I like to call them.

Day 3-Back/Bis: One of my favorites so far. It was the longest one yet at 42 minutes for this program that I have done, but the time pasted by very fast. I used 5 lbs on only one workout, but through the rest I used 10-25 lbs. I felt it for sure the next 2 days!!!

Day 4-Cardio/Abs: The cardio workout was a little intense but I finished it, it was only 30 minutes long. Even though it was cardio, my arms, and legs were burning from the drills. The abs was also very effective, feeling them for sure today!!!! For the last workout, you had to keep your legs at a 45 degree angel and spell BEAST with your legs, only being able to lower them half way between the letters…I really enjoyed this!

Day 5-Shoulders: This was a challenge for me!! I haven’t done much upper body since my surgery, and I’m still limited on what I can/should be doing. I had to use 5lbs on 2 exercises, and my shoulders felt exhausted within half of the workout, which it is only 36 minutes total. Throughout the rest of the workout, I used 10-15lbs. I decided to go for a run after this workout also, because I feel like I need more cardio, this workout is definitely the real deal!! (Gun Show Status coming soon! :p)

Day 6-Chest/Tris: I did must better on this day, I was able to up my weights and get a great workout in!
